The Parish of La Massana lies in the northwest of Andorra. La Massana is also the name of a town located here. Other localities include Anyós, Erts, Sispony, L'Aldosa and Escàs. Within it is located the Pic de Coma Pedrosa, the highest point in the Principality at 2,942 meters. The next four highest peaks are also located in this parish, which is on an average of 1,240 meters above sea-level.
La Massana is a quaint resort and an excellent base for exploring the neighbouring slopes of Arinsal and Arcalis. The valley town attracts mainly first-time skiers and riders, who come here for the cheap nightlife as much as the experience on the slopes.
