Causewayhead lies just over a mile south-east of Silloth and is dominated by the church of St Paul, erected in 1845.
     Of note is the fact that the Earl of Lonsdale donated a piece of land for burial purposes in 1893. Today this graveyard has graves of some of the airmen killed during the Second World War.
